District Wide Share Groups

Google shared folders are being set up to replace these shared drives. We will work with staff between now and the end of the year to help with set-up, organization and transferring files from the current network drives. Both of us will make themselves available to help you, whether it be individually, at a grade level meeting, or peer collaboration, should you invite them.

You may come across these new shared Google folders in your "Shared with Me" tab.  Please do not delete them. Again, we will assist in collecting these into a easily accessible location so that you are ready for the transition.
These Google share folders will be easily accessible and will be great for sharing resources amongst buildings and across the district.

Setting up shared folders
Although you will always be able to access the shared Google folders in the Shared with Me you can make them more easily accessible by moving them to your Google Drive.  This too is a very short process.

If you have files on the old building shared drive you want to keep, drag them into new Google shared folders the same way you moved over your H: drive files.  (Directions below)

Moving H: Drive files to Google Drive (Required only IF you have files you want to save from H: Drive)
Individual staff members will need to move any files from their H: drive (PC My Documents) to their Google Drive. This process will NOT convert any file types, just move them from one location to another. (Word documents will stay Word documents) You should do this from any district PC and only takes several minutes.
